We stopped in for lunch. It is extremely tiny so we had to wait about 1/2 hour. Could have waited A LOT less if we would sit at the bar. Food was phenomenal. I had their loaded nachos others had loaded potato soup and painted pony macaroni. My advice .... Everyone that sits at your table get something different. You'll be glad you did. Oh my goodness if you are foodie - GO HERE NOW!

You'd have limited options on how to get here as they're located on an island miles from the mainland. Nevertheless, you came to Mackinaw Island somehow and need to eat. You found one of the best! It's a cozy cramped feeling, and you might need to wait, but it's worth it. Slightly pricey, extremely good food. Very friendly wait staff.

Food was quite flavorful & delicious. The quantity was substantial. Our waitress & the others that took care of us were friendly & efficient. Drinks were mixed correctly - no watered down bits here Loved the horse racing & old pub vibe. Music was subtly energetic, modern and at a column you could hear it, but be able to carry on a comfortable conversation. We will keep Seabiscuit in mind for return trips.

Mary our server, was incredible and superior to say the least. She went above and beyond for my children at breakfast. I was blown away with her etiquette and speed of service. The food here was just as amazing. I couldn’t recommend this establishment enough.

What a great place for a delicious meal on Mackinaw Island! We discovered The Seabicuit Cafe in 2016 and it has been a must ever since when dining on the Island. The atmosphere is warm and lends itself to the experience. The wait staff is prompt and attentive which is great because they are always busy. On this recent lunch we had a burger and the whitefish and chips; both very good. Eric was our waiter on this visit and he was excellent.

Seabiscuit Cafe. Awesome dark decor. Horse Race interior. LOUD and tight tables. I got Whitefish Rueben and hubby got French Dip Philly both with kettle chips. Waitress was awesome sweet young lady. Not really for families or big groups, maybe?

Excellent food. We got the whitefish & chips, Triple Crown sandwich, pulled pork grilled cheese, and Painted Pony Macaroni (deep-fried mac n cheese balls). The macaroni balls were good but were a little dry inside. Otherwise, would highly recommend everything else we ordered! Service was good as well.

Absolutely amazing place to hide out in whilst wondering the chaos of main street Mackinac. Some of the best white fish and chips I’ve had, lobster roll was amazing too and don’t forget their awesome draft beers! Will be coming back
